Happy 4th of July!

How was your Fourth of July?  Our's was great.  I'd like to just take a moment to express how grateful I am to be an American, and to live in America, and for all the many, many freedoms we enjoy.

A few days ago, a friend of mine shared this article on Facebook, which is an article highlighting 18 Things Happening Outside of the US that Give us Insight into How Good We Have it as Americans.  The topics they point out range from life expectancy to women's rights to religion to what you can name your children, and everything in between.

This really made me think.  A lot.  How great we have it here in America.  We can worship how we please, name our kids what we want, say what we want, and be who we want to be.  We are healthy, we are prosperous, we are free.  Even our bad times aren't that bad compared to a lot of places.

Yep, being an American is awesome.  What an honor.  What an honor to live in the greatest county in the world.  I thank God that I was born in America and that I enjoy all that I have.

I hope you and your family had a blessed 4th of July!

Here's some pictures of the cuteness that ensued: (apologizing for the amount of pictures!)
