Essays on Motherhood

When I first started this blog, I wanted to place to share my projects, my parties, and my can do attitude about trying new things.  I had idea after idea and could not wait to try them all out and get them documented on the internet.  I wanted Pinterest worthy material that millions of people would pin and repin.

My focus has changed.

I'll be honest with you.  I haven't had a lot of time to craft, or browse Pinterest, or even blog.  And I'm ok with that.  I'm busy playing superheroes and Legos, dolls and dressup, going on adventures with my kids, and taking care of a home and a family.  I no longer need a space to share my projects and my crazy Pinterest fails.  Now all I need is a space to share my thoughts.  Have you noticed lately that most of my blog posts are about my thoughts, ideas, and perspective on being a mother?  I sure have.

So I've decided to re-name and re-brand my blog.  I've still got the Today: Begin attitude, that will never change.  I hope I'm a "trier of new things" all my life.  But I've found that I just don't really like to write about it. I also don't like the pressure of "having to blog."  I like when it feels much more organic and natural.  More "something that I've really had on my mind that I want to spill my heart into a blog post", and less "something that I've forced myself to make and now I must force myself to write about."

I know this probably means that I will lose a few readers.  I don't care.  I've decided my blog isn't for anyone else but me and my kids.  I want them to be able to read post after post when they're older and feel the love I have for them.  The struggles I had, the joys I experienced, but mostly just the love have.

So welcome into a little corner of my brain.  The thoughts that I think, the love that I feel, the battles that I fight, the victories that I achieve, and the mother that I am.  Welcome.  Thanks for reading my Essays on Motherhood.

PS- A GIANT shoutout to Brielle from Breezy & Co for my new blog design.  She's a saint for putting up with me and all my silly requests and revisions.  Really, if you need a new blog design for a reasonable price, she's your gal.  Thank you again, Brielle!
