Also thinking about making this for Logan for his birthday:

Speaking of phases, I'm so glad most of parenthood so far has been a phase, and I'm starting to think most of it will be -THANK GOODNESS!- That thing that your kid does today that drives you crazy, he will most likely not be doing in a couple months. He'll have moved on to something new to annoy you. But at least you can take courage that "This too shall pass."
Currently Logan is in the "But I want to" phase. Example- Logan is hitting the dog with a stick. Mom says, "Logan, let's not hit the dog with a stick." Logan says, "But I want to!" Mom says, "Just because you want to do something doesn't make it a good idea." Logan says, "But I want to!" Repeat. Please, PLEASE, PLEASE let this phase be over soon. Any ideas out there as to how to combat the "But I want to"'s are extremely welcome!
I was reading this article the other day about how awesome toddlers are although they are crazy hard. I especially liked the part about how they butcher the English language. It got me to thinking about how I miss Logan calling the kitchen a "Chicken" and a spoon a "Smoon." At least he still calls water "Watey" and everything "Ey-Shing." His little voice is pretty much the cutest sound in the world.
Being a mom is pretty awesome even though it's SOOO hard sometimes. It's pretty special to be someone's favorite person in the whole world. I wouldn't trade it for a cushy job where I sit on the beach and do nothing all day. Ok, maybe just for an hour... or two ;)
