Berry Picking- Adventure #3

My mother makes AH-MAZE-ING berry pies and jam.  Anyone who has ever eaten at her house can testify.  Life changing, people, life changing.  So it only seemed right that we go berry picking while she was here.

I spent many an early summer morning in my childhood knee deep in blackberry bushes, with stickers up to my elbows, and berry stains on my clothes.  It was so worth it just to have blackberry pies and jam all winter.  But I'm happy to report that this was a much more enjoyable berry picking experience.

We went to Haas Apple Orchards and Cider Mill where not only do they have amazing apple cider, but also tons and tons of blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry patches where you can pick your own in the summer.

Pretty sure Logan had a 10:1 ratio of berry to mouth versus berry to bucket but the staff was very kind about it.  We had a wonderful time.  I'm going to put it out there:  the most fun I've ever had berry picking.  These were some of the biggest, juiciest, sweetest berry's I've ever tasted.  They were heavenly.

Here's some pictures from our most excellent adventure:

And we came home and made homemade jam and pie for dinner that night.  It was a little bit of heaven on earth!
