Conversations with Logan

Now that Logan can talk, it's been very interesting to get his take on the world.  Sometimes I wonder just what exactly is going on inside that head of his.  But I'll tell you what, if our conversations are any indication, this is one hilarious, thoughtful, loving little boy.

(Before Reagan was born)
Me:  "Logan, is Reagan going to be your little sister?"
Logan:  "No, Reagan be my friend."

At bedtime prayer:
Me:  "Bless mommy and daddy...."
Logan:  "Bless my Mickey Mouse pancake."

Looking at an Old McDonald book:
Logan:  "Hmmmm... There's no foxes on this page."

Looking at a picture of me in my wedding dress:
Me:  "Who did Mommy get married to?"
Logan:  "Uncle Enoch!!!!"
Me:  "No, not Uncle Enoch."
Logan:  "Aunt Rachel?"
Me:  "No..."
Logan:  "Uncle Michael?"
Me:  "No silly, Daddy?"
Logan:  "You married Daddy??"
Me:  "Yeah!"
Logan: "Yay!!"

Watching me feed Reagan and doing this:

Logan:  "Bear says, 'Mmm Mmm Mmm, milk's good!'"

At the grocery store:
Woman over the store intercom:  "Pick up on Aisle 4"
Logan (at the top of his lungs):  "OK LADY!"

Upon hearing the ice machine:
Logan: "What's that?"
Me:  "It's the ice machine in the freezer making ice."
Logan:  "Maybe it's Santa."
Me:  "No, I don't think it's Santa."
Logan:  "It's Santa, yay!  He's bringing me a present!"

Hearing me call Baby Reagan a "Snot Bucket" (she had a runny nose):
Logan:  "She's not a bucket, Mommy."
Me:  "Baby Reagan's not a snot bucket?"
Logan:  "No, she's a cute bucket!"

Arguing about getting dressed:
Me:  "You have to get dressed."
Logan:  "No, I don't want to."
Me:  "You have to, sweetie.  Baby Reagan is dressed and Mommy is dressed too."
Logan:  [deep sigh] "Ok, but I want to wear a tie."
resulting outfit:

Brings me a stuffed Minnie Mouse, gives us both a big hug
Logan:  "I just love you guys SOOOOO much!"

In the kitchen:
Logan:  "I will grow up to be a daddy, baby Reagan will grow up to be a mommy, and that bagel will grow up to be a sandwich."

At the dinner table:
Logan:  "Daddy's real name is Daniel.  Mommy's real name is Amanda.  And my real name is Honey!"

Holding a measuring tape:
Logan:  "Mommy is 45 inches tall.  And baby Reagan is 20 minutes little."

After crying about something:
Logan:  "Mommy, I want to take you down.  That will make me feel better."

If nothing else, my days with Logan are filled with a lot of laughter and shaking my head!
