So basically I've read about a thousand Christmas posts this week and now I know that it is my obligation as a blogger to give my 9 readers an update on my Christmas. This Christmas we went to California to spend a little time with my family.

Just catching up on some Muppets for the 10,000th time |
This began with 8 hours of flying with my oh so well behaved 16 month old. All I can say about that is thank goodness for iPads, Muppets, and suckers. Never underestimate the power of electronics, puppets, and sugar. Anyway, we made it and then the festivities began. Some of the highlights include:
Several 5 AM mornings due to the 3 hour time change |
Time with my one of my besties from high school, wandering around my home town sipping hot chocolate, getting in "stare-offs" with tattooed, scantily clad 15 year olds, and reveling in our title as "bloggers" (check out her blog, it's amazing!) |
Hours spent rocking on the "Rockin' Reindeer" |
Logan and Taj's (and mine and Sam's) yearly play date! Remember last year?
Kermit love-fest Christmas morning |
Trip to the animal shelter to spread a little Christmas cheer to some lonely animals |
Settlers of Catan- The Charity Version
Ear infection for Logan, Double Ear Infection for me!
Massages for Daniel and I ( much needed, much deserved)!
Morgensen Family Reunion 20+ years in the making
You'll notice that not all of my highlights have pictures... that's because I'm a slacker and didn't take a lot of pictures, so you'll just have to take my word for it that Logan's second Christmas was full of magic and love. It was a great week and a time we won't soon forget. I hope you all had a great holiday as well. |
